Money Management for Vulnerable People

Working with service users in supported housing and related care to tackle problems and raise aspirations

Date: Thursday 29th April 2010

Context

Poor money management leads many vulnerable people into significant difficulties with debt, often resulting in the loss of a tenancy - making even tougher a life already beset with challenges.

More knowledge about financial matters and a better attitude to money can help vulnerable people create security, increased independence and participation in the community, and the ability to make choices and plan for the future – making the most of life’s opportunities more than just ‘getting by’.
