Forced labour and exploitation is a traumatic, tragic and largely ignored problem affecting some of the most vulnerable people in London. A new research project, in partnership with Thames Reach, funded by the Trust for London, will be in three phases – over three years - and deliver a full ‘system change’ for service users, practitioners and in policy, law-enforcement and public awareness. By giving a voice to London’s vulnerable homeless, improving awareness and influencing policy and practice we intend to effect a seismic change in attitude and awareness of and responses to forced labour of homeless and vulnerable people in London and across the UK.
3. To widely disseminate good practice on all the above topics online, face to face and through one to one policy influence.
4. To improve front line practice across the board in adult social care, supported housing homelessness organisations.
5. To use professional communications and one-to-one senior relationships to increase political, media and public awareness.
